Conference to examine low-carbon shortage, sustainability

"Plugging the West Coast Carbon Short" is the theme of a one-day conference scheduled for 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m., April 6 at the University Club of San Francisco. The conference is cosponsored by International Sustainability & Carbon Certification and Prima, a UK-based international commodity markets research company and price reporting agency focused on biofuel, energy and ag markets.

The focus of the free ISCC/Prima conference will be on the latest developments in low-carbon fuels and their market implications, the potential shortage of low-carbon fuels and feedstock, international best practices on low-carbon fuels production and trade and the need for secure verification.

In addition to speakers from the sponsoring organizations, other companies featured in the program include Aemetis, Enerkem, Gevo and several from the renewable diesel sector, including Neste, REG, Crimson Renewable Energy and Solfuels.  Representatives from the California Air Resources Board and the Ministry of Energy and Mines in British Columbia will also speak.
